My approach

A space where you
can be yourself.

Therapy begins with a relationship. Feeling able to speak, question and be heard matters.

Counselling with
Melanie Bowyer

I’m a BACP registered integrative counsellor and qualified clinical supervisor.

Integrative counselling means I draw on more than one therapeutic approach. We can think together about what fits your needs, rather than expecting you to fit a particular way of working.

The practice offers neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ affirmative support. You are welcome to talk about what makes a space feel accessible and comfortable for you.

Our work together

You have a say in the process.

There is room to ask why, to tell me when something does not fit and to change the focus of a conversation.

Your experience matters.

We can be interested in your strengths as well as the things that are difficult. You don’t have to minimise either.

A pace we discuss together.

We will talk about what you hope for and review how the sessions are feeling for you.

For counsellors and therapists

A reflective space
for your practice.

Clinical supervision is available online, with space to explore client work, professional development and the emotional demands of practice.

We can reflect on the therapeutic relationship, the wider context of your client work and your own responses as a practitioner.

Bring questions about boundaries, therapeutic pace or supporting clients whose work, health or neurodivergence shapes their experience. Supervision also gives space to notice the impact of the work on you and consider what support you need.
