Trauma and Rewind Therapy

You may feel watchful, avoid reminders or find that a sound, place or conversation brings an intense reaction. Some people experience intrusive memories or feel disconnected. These experiences do not establish a diagnosis, but they are worth taking seriously.

Choice and pace in trauma counselling

We start by understanding what feels manageable now and what helps you feel able to stay with a conversation. You do not have to give a detailed account at the first meeting. We can explore how past experiences affect daily life, trust and relationships, with ongoing choices about pace and focus.

Rewind therapy

I am trained in the Rewind Technique and offer it as part of my trauma work. Before considering Rewind, we will talk about what you are experiencing, what you hope for and whether this approach is suitable for you.

I will explain what the technique involves and answer your questions so you can make an informed choice. There is no pressure to use Rewind. We can also discuss other approaches or specialist support where these would better meet your needs.

Support shaped around you

Trauma counselling can give you space to explore the impact of distressing experiences on your confidence, relationships and sense of safety. We will agree the focus together and keep reviewing what feels manageable for you.
